Fequently Asked Questions
Q: Why is it important to purify air?
the EPA and Congress as America's #1
environmental health problem. Air pollutants
can cause allergies, sick building syndrome,
bacteria infections, and spread viruses to
name a few.
Which odor control system is best for heavy odors in occupied areas?
The Maximum™ Professional.
Q: What is the best air purifiers for allergy and asthma-sufferers?
Proper air filtration is crucial for homes of allergy and asthma-sufferers, since allergy and asthma triggers can easily find their way into homes, despite your best attempts. Air purifiers that use HEPA filtration, such as our Home and Office are the best choice for allergy sufferers because they remove up to 99.97% of allergens up to 0.3 microns in size from your environment. The HEPA Home and Office Air Purifier features multi-stage air filtration, which primarily includes a HEPA filter, carbon filter, negative ion generator and Photo-caytalitic filter. The combination of these technologies has a tremendous effect on allergens in the air you breathe.
Q: What are some statistics on indoor air quality?
1) People spend 75-90% of their time indoors.
2) Exposure to airborne contamination is considerable.
3) 50% of all major office buildings have contaminated heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC). If not properly maintained, they are a hot bed for growth of
molds and bacteria.
4. 40% of all major office buildings can expect occupants to
suffer from symptoms.
5. All buildings are at least slightly polluted with chemical aerosols.
6. The World Health Organization Committee (WHO) report of 1984 suggested that up to 30% of new and remodeled buildings worldwide may be the subject of excessive complaints related to indoor air quality (IAQ).
Q: Our heating and air conditioning units have filters on them. Why do I need anything more?
Traditional air filters only trap medium-to-large particles and have no effect on gases, vapors, bacteria and viruses. Trying to get the pollution to the filter itself is almost impossible. We take the solution to the pollution thus stopping it in it's tracks.
Q: When is a building classified as a sick building?
IAQ experts consider a building to be sick when there are known contaminants at harmful concentrations or when 20% or more of its occupants are plagued by a variety of common symptoms that occur only while at work.
Q: What causes sick buildings?
Mold, mildew, plumbing problems, tightly sealed buildings, off gases from carpets, glues, copy machines, furniture, etc.
Q. Which air purifiers can be used in occupied spaces?
All of our systems are designed for use anywhere you find people. As an example, the HEPA Home and Office does not rely on the air to actually pass through the machine for it to be cleaned like conventional air filters. The ultraviolet system produces negative and hydroxyl ions directly attacking the source of your indoor air problem. Perfect for homes and any office space to control germs and odors.
Another example is the Professional Hydroxyl Generator which is designed for use in occupied spaces. It our largest and most powerful system which is designed for large open spaces or heavily contaminated areas with strong odors.
Q. How long will an hydroxyl generator or ozone machine last?
Because of the quality material and superior craftsmanship that goes into each and every odor removal machine , it should last the average home owner a least 10 years or more.
Q. Is it difficult to install? Where should I place my hydroxyl machine or ozone generator?
Not at all, simply plug it in and setup the machine in the area you will be treating. Install the air purifier in any room, but try to find a place where it can be up off the ground five feet or more. It should be placed in the room where you have the most pollutants. Our systems are easy to move so you might want to try it in a couple of locations to help decide what works best for your environment. Leave the room if using the optional ozone feature. No People, No Pets, No Plants.
Is Ozone Dangerous?
No, and here's why. Okay, we all know that hot water for taking a shower is great, it you made the water too hot, you would be scalded. Fire, great for cooking our food, but if not treated with proper respect, it could burn down your home. You get the drift. Too much ozone, your throat and lungs would become irritated and you would then have to leave the room.
Some folks have been made to be afraid of ozone by our modern misinformed media. Ozone is safe and natural. Take a few moments to learn the truth about mother nature's perfect sanitizer.
Q. Why should I buy one?
Are you a smoker, pet owner or the devoted parent of a newborn, toddler or teen? Do you spend a lot of time indoors? Do you suffer from asthma, sneezing or watery eyes? Then indoor air quality should be part of your everyday consideration.
Q. How quickly does it clean the air?
The majority of our customers notice a difference within minutes of turning on their new ozone generator. Depending on the level of contamination it, it could take 8 to 10 hours, but this is very rare.
Homes with someone living there will notice a difference instantly.
Q. How big is it?
The size varies with each individual ozone generator and ozone machine. Please browse our products page for complete details.
Q. How long is the warranty?
Up to 5 years depending on model selected. Defects will be corrected by replacement or repair provided the product is used and maintained in accordance with the instructions. Keep your purifier clean. Fouling of components will void the warranty.
Q: How large of an area does it cover?
Our air purifiers cover up to 3000 square feet depending on use and model selected. It can oxidize the molecules which cause odors that could contaminate indoor air and aggravate allergic reactions such as sneezing, sinus and ear irritations, asthma and itchy eyes by significantly reducing chemical gases, paint fumes, tobacco smoke, fungi and mold.
